THE ORANGE MARTINI GARNISH
A Martini with a twist is a classic order that traditionally means a lemon peel garnish. But in this case, we’re using orange.
Use a small knife or vegetable peeler to gently peel away a thin strip of orange rind, without getting an white pith. Then, twist the peel to release the fruit’s oils. To add extra flavour, try flaming your orange peel by holding it above a match for a few seconds. We call this one a Burnt Orange Martini.
MAKE THE BLOOD ORANGE MARTINI YOUR OWN
The Blood Orange Martini is already a twist on a classic Martini recipe. But why stop there? Cocktails are for drinking. But they’re also for creating.
Pair sweet ingredients with the bitterness of the blood orange or add extra fizz, fruit and flair. Try Blood Orange Martini with a top of Champagne to get a light bubbly finish. Or add vanilla extract and a vanilla bean garnish to make a slightly sweeter Blood Orange and Vanilla Martini.
