Master Distiller Emeritus
Desmond Payne MBE is a part of Beefeater Gin’s DNA. He’s been overseeing the brand for decades, ensuring every bottle of Beefeater is as delicious as the last.
Beginning his career at Beefeater as a core part of our distillery team, he’s on hand to make sure we remain the World’s Most Awarded Gin*. Beyond the distillery walls, he’s often spotted enjoying a martini in London’s finest bars.

Beefeater Gin’s ambassador team are a wonderful bunch. They’re pros in getting our gin into your glass- whether you’re in India, Australia, Nigeria, Hong Kong, Spain or Brazil, or right here in London. They’re busy training your local bar in the perfect B&T, conducting tastings and helping their local team get the word out there about our latest flavours and cocktails.
They’re a diverse bunch made up of local legends, bartenders, party planners, and event hosts. The one thing they all have in common: they’re fluent in gin.

Back at Beefeater HQ there’s a busy crew who hail from all over the world making sure that everything runs smoothly. That’s keeping us stocked in bottle caps, shipping millions of bottles around the world, or innovating on how to make us even more sustainable, and much more.
When they’re not planning photoshoots or coming up with the next addition to the Beefeater range, they’re enjoying a G&T together at a local London pub garden.
