How to celebrate International Gin and Tonic day

Every year on the 19th of October, gin lovers around the world raise a glass to celebrate International Gin and Tonic Day – and we’ve got a bunch of ideas on how to join in.

This day is dedicated to one of the most popular iconic cocktails – the Gin and Tonic, or G&T as it’s affectionately known – and has become a key celebration since it began in 2010.

Whether you like yours with a twist of lime or a splash of something more adventurous, International G&T Day is the perfect opportunity to enjoy this timeless drink. Here are some fun ideas to make the most of the celebration.

Sip a classic Beefeater Gin and Tonic

There’s no better way to celebrate International Gin and Tonic Day than by sipping on a classic Gin and Tonic made with Beefeater London Dry Gin. The original recipe celebrates the gin’s crisp, clean flavour and perfectly balanced botanicals, whilst quality tonic water adds a refreshing fizz. It’s a timeless drink that’s perfect year round. With a light, bittersweet flavour and hint of citrus.

To make the perfect Gin and Tonic, fill a copa glass with ice, pour over 50 ml of Beefeater London Dry Gin, top with tonic water, and garnish with a wheel of lemon and orange. It’s the perfect way to toast to International G&T Day and enjoy the classic cocktail in its purest form.

Mix up Gin and Tonic variations

While the classic Gin and Tonic is always a hit, there’s also plenty of ways to mix up the original recipe. This International G&T Day, why not explore some Gin and Tonic variations and see which twist is your favourite?

There are countless ways to make the G&T your own by experimenting with different types of gin, flavoured tonics and garnishes. And we’ve got tons to try. For those who like a fruitier serve, give a Pink Gin and Tonic a go, flavoured with strawberry sweetness. Or mix things up with a Blood Orange Gin and Tonic using Beefeater Blood Orange Gin and garnished with a slice of fresh orange for a burst of citrusy goodness.

You can also play around with different gin garnishes like cucumber, rosemary and fresh berries to add a unique flavour profile to your G&T. The possibilities are endless, and experimenting with new combinations is a super fun way to celebrate the day with friends.

So much so, it soon became a popular beverage back home.
