THE HISTORY

Beefeater London Dry has been setting the standard for gins for generations. In fact, we can trace our distilling heritage all the way back to 1820. Our founder, James Burroughs, was an innovator and entrepreneur whose legacy has shaped the gin industry for decades. Indeed, it’s his 19th century recipe that inspires our modern London Dry Gin to this day.

It all starts at home in London. Our nine stills stand tall, steeping and distilling every single drop of Beefeater London Dry Gin. A small, expert team of distillers oversee each step of the process under the guidance of the world’s most experienced master gin distiller: Sir Desmond Payne MBE Emeritus. It’s a mix of science, art, and gin magic.

THE SETTING

Every drop of Beefeater Gin is distilled in the heart of London: always has been, always will be. Our distillery in Kennington, Vauxhall, has been part of the community for a long, long time. We’re a stone’s throw from Vauxhall’s buzzing scene, and you can smell the botanicals in the air as you approach Montford Place.

Beefeater is a born and bred Londoner: everything from our name to our home comes from the greatest city in the world. And just like our hometown, our gins are vibrant. bold , and welcoming.

We might be the only historic gin that still distilled in London, but for Beefeater there’s no compromise. There’s just no place like home.
